You wanted the Frozen remix...you got it. You wanted the demo for Back That Up...she took like 2 or 3 weeks to release it.

 

This wasn't even released under Warner Bros label. 

 

This is being promoted first and foremost by another record label: Insomniac Records. The label that blond:ish ha released some stuff previously. 

 

Madonna is just a featured act.

 

It's good that she's doing something different. The Frozen remix also didn't have great playlisting and it naturally got better numbers than Back That Up. 

 

I just want the damn re-releases at this point. I feel like we're getting everything BUT that 

Obviously but it was still clearly a joint decision to release it  its just not a good remix and it wont catch anyone’s attention. And its sad cause Sorry is one of her songs that does have smash potential in 2023 and she just wasted it on this pointless release. 
 

If she wants to go down the Elton remixes route then just do it the right way. It’s obvious that their main goal is to snatch a streaming smash.

I don’t really have a problem with the sorry remix tbh… it’s cute.  

 

there needs to be like a consolidated project to really boost her catalogue streams though and introduce her to younger gen though, it’s kinda just sporadic and random.  

Maybe the Miley Flowers Remix is real but it's Madonna  Her 13th #1 coming?

Yeah, I felt that way, too, before. But seeing how most other legacy artists are treated so well - entire parts of their catalogue remastered to the latest standards such as Dolby Atmos on streaming services, well-handled anniversary re-releases, amazing boxsets, their music videos remastered in 4K. Yet we get slow updates with bad quality that are no longer up to her previous immaculate quality standards. 

Look at this week's BB200: Elvis, MJ, Elton, Queen, Nirvana, Avril, Eminem and The Beatles all sitting nice and comfortable with decade old albums. There's a reason why there's no True Blue or Ray of Light and it's kinda sad.

Hard Candy really did have the best demos. Animal, Latte, Infinity, Across The Sky >>>>>>

 

Hopefully when the reissue comes out (in 2054) we'll get all these songs remastered.
