Exactly, I'm worried those who haven't already ordered it will stream and become tired of it by the time the physicals are released.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to release the physicals 2 months later needs a good flogging. They should all be released at the same time.

in my pov i think the strategy is clear.

creating hype through the pre-orders (resulting in great #s on amazon, hmv, jpc etc.)

release it for streaming after her pride performance this resulting into more hype and more pre-orders for the vinyls and cds.

and finally ha birthday and the 40 years celebrations for more hype.

result:

finally enough #1s all around the world.

there's no such thing as a proper release in 2022.

it's all about streaming first and physicals second (for the fans and collectors)
