I'm fine with her doing just the closing, it always made the most sense for her to be a part of the transitional segment. That way both her and Celine get their respective spots to shine. Celine had been rumoured to be doing the opening from the very beginning as well meanwhile Gaga was rumoured for the closing. 

 

Really doubt she'd do both, that would be unprecedented (?) but the word unprecedented has become quite synonymous with her career so happy to be proven wrong.

my source just told me that it was originally planned for gaga to perform her lead single from LG7 at the closing ceremony due to the handover tradition of countries, but that would be cutting it way too close to the album release in august and the viewership for the closing is LOWER than the opening, so her team decided to do the opening along with celine (separate performances, no collab)
