That comment about credits was made three years ago while promoting Chromatica. He worked with her on ASIB pop songs in 2017 while being on the road for JWT.

i used to argue with myself which was her top 3 with those two now i just think its ASIB despite it not being an album. Chromatica is ultimately a better album, but Joanne song is one of her best songs.

Joanne is way more interesting than ASIB but y'all are too blinded by success to see that.

Calling ARTPOP avant-garde is crazy considering the record mostly pulls from madeon and zedd’s stylebook sonically which even the EDM community had tired from by the time it came out, I love the vision surrounding it tho, wish it had more timeless production.

Nothing surprising about that. Even when we talk in general - music stars have to have more natural talent or charisma or X factor to make it in the industry, instead of being pushed by mommy's connections like Joaquin was:

The truth is both Joanne and Chromatica are middle-of-the-road albums that had much more potential. Both suffered from messy artistic choices (production wise mostly) that made the execution fall flat. Joanne should have fully went for the stripped back route as initially planned without trying to "modernize" the album, and Chrome needed to dive deeper into the 90s/early 00s house influences from the early stages instead of adding those EDM moments that cheapened the entire record.

Please, her mother being a secretary of an executive producer and providing them an agent don't make him and his brother nepo-babies, getting an agent it's how it has always worked on Hollywood if you want to work there.

 

A thing we're not gonna do is starting trashing Joaquin Phoenix out of nowhere when the movie is not even out, let alone his dead brother who was very talented and charismatic by the way, both are talented, I'm not even a fan of Phoenix, but for stay almost 40 years in the business, getting multiple Oscar nominations and winning one, you have to be good, connections are not enough, he proved his talent multiple times.
