While a Supporting Oscar would be easier on paper at least, they're absolutely pushing her in Lead unless it's a comparatively tiny role. I'd be shocked if they didn't push for a classic "movie star" win. For someone like Gaga, that's the one clear mold she'd fit unless she becomes overdue in the far future.

Agree, but there's just something in the air, good vibes. It's a proven property with the Oscars, there's good chances for stronger critical support, Gaga has the snub narrative, WB are great campaigners, the movie could be a huge hit, etc. She's definitely not locked at all, but I strongly feel like she could go very far in the season (unless it's a big fat turd ).

at least post production will be long so it won't a mess filmmaking wise like Shitley's HOG.

I don't doubt this in general, the project is promising, the studio is good, but unexpected **** also happens and when there is Gaga on the mix, also easily, I think being more cautious could be a better approach all considered, at least that will be mine.
