BTW had dismal streams before Judas and Bloody Mary went viral too. Applause is now getting 500k plus streams, it’s still one of the most streamed albums released that year even with the second single being deleted from it, and it’s still being discussed in the media 10 years later. What else are you looking for…

BTW gets played every June for pride. There is a Born This Way holiday. Plus, it will probably be her most streamed album for all of 2023, 11 years after it was released 

 

Applause getting decent streams for a month does not mean that ARTPOP withstood the test of time. She’s not that type of girl. She gets to hang out with Joanne and Chromatica.

I think it is safe to assume that it has already surpassed that.

 

I don't have access to daily data from that time (I don't even remember if Spotify had daily charts back then nnn ) but from the Spotify archive available on kworb which shows weekly data, its global peak is 3,286,245 streams which is roughly 470k daily avg. So if you take into account streams fluctuations through the week, its 2013 peak should be not more than 500k daily

Anyone who knows anything about music should not be surprised by ARUTW being a song that performs so well over time. It's one of the best pop ballads from a mainstream musician in the last 5 years, and I'm not being a stan. It's a great, great song.

 

A non-single ballad reaching 1 billion should be proof enough.
