or when singers would perform at award shows late at night so technically most Americans wouldn’t see it until the next day

Even if its "frontloaded" like Cool For The Summer for example, it will still pull big numbers for a while. That song spent like 2 months in the Top 200. TikTok'd songs don't collapse in one day and the effect will last forever.
