This + the lukewarm reception to the album from critics and her own fans didn't help her post-ARTPOP struggles with the Lady Gaga persona. I don't think she hates the record but it only added to the resentment she had towards that persona. So her saying that she's finally at peace with who she is now, and she can finally the artist that she always wanted to be is referring to that. She's no longer running away from Lady Gaga and she has grown out of her "suffering means I'm doing it right" mindset.
