They are two of the best songs of her career and it's fitting they essentially open and close the main show of the Mayhem Ball (aside from the encore/bow), bookending one of the greatest pop concerts of all time with top-tier melodies, songwriting, and vocals. I'm waiting for me to sick of these songs and I just don't. It has been a bit of an up and down year — lowlights personally of losing one of my best friends to cancer, some renewed challenges with managing my OCD, and honestly simply living in the US under this hateful and authoritarian administration. On the upside, my career kept taking off, but bigger for me was that I was able to see Gaga in NYC, made a new close friend along the way, and got my tattoo dedicated to her finally. It was an experience I'll never forget. Ironically, MAYHEM and the era has been such a calming and centering thing for me amidst a lot of chaos/uncertainty. It brought me back to younger Bryan, when in 2009 and 2010, Gaga was also a stabilizing force in my life as I dealt with some childhood turmoil. Thanks, Gagz! Happy Turkey Day to my fellow Americans.
