I know she says she's not confident as a musician but you could say otherwise during this era. 
 

Regardless if it's mostly lipped/pre-recorded, she looked like an absolute popstar this era. Dignity will always be her magnum opus in my eyes.

I could definitely see her in that role. The character of Annie started out very cute and innocent like Hilary's usual mainstream roles during that time and then eventually took a darker turn. Seeing how well Hilary did in According to Greta the year prior, I think Hilary would've done great with the darker aspects of the character. I know Hilary wanted to get out of the teen genre, but it still would've been a more mature role than all of the other characters that she had played up to that point, outside of her little seen indie films. It's a much meatier role than her character in Gossip Girl was a year later. 

 

I loved Shenae Grimes from Degrassi so I was happy when she got the role after Hilary turned it down. 

Maybe it would've been a bigger show than it turned out to be if Hilary had the role, though.

Nothing official but she did say in a recent interview that she has something she's been working on that she can't announce yet. It could very well just be another business venture, but hopefully it is something substantial acting or music wise. She also said recently that she auditioned for a part that she really wanted but didn't get. That sucks, but at least we know she is still trying.  

 

Younger is a hit on Netflix so hopefully that opens the door for other opportunities, potentially the Kelsey spinoff.
