When will Xmas songs be banned from charting on the main chart?

It just ruins everything:rip:

Hopefully Billboard comes with some new rules

After Mariah regains her stolen record they can do whatever they want with the rules.

No to banning Xmas songs from charting until Santa Tell Me enters the top 10 y'all. :biblio2:

But if they do that, it wouldn’t properly reflect what’s the most consumed song that week.

Then what about the recurrent songs that are more consumed than 80% of the songs on the chart but aren't inside it just because they got pushed out by many Xmas entries? :rip:

It doesn't represent what's the most consumed song no matter what.

Ohhh you know what… I didn’t think about that my bad ⚰️

Oh wow Adele stomping. I knew EOM was a megasmash the first time I heard it. Amazing to see a no 1 with longevity after all those quick lil ones that we have seen of late. This is a bonafide smash.

Wow at Sza being top ten with 1 percent airplay. Highly impressive.

That doesn’t make any sense.

If they’re can pushed out then they aren’t consumed enough to chart based on weekly popularity.

They're pushed out of the top 25 not the top 100. It's the recurrent rule I am talking about. They are still more consumed than 80% of the songs after Xmas but won't enter because of the same xmas songs every year.

It makes perfect sense and I think they should regulate the xmas entries more.

For over 52 weeks it's top 25.

That’s a very small group of songs that would even be eligible :rip:

Why does thread title say "EARLY" when tweet says final pls.

OT: Amazing longevity for EOM thanks to radio. Happy to see Adele can find success in transitioning to a singles artist :clap3:

It’s final because the tracking week is over.

in this case they shouldn't have the album bombs either because the same thing happens

The last 2 years BB has let the songs pushed out by Christmas songs to reenter once the Christmas songs fall out. So they may/probably be back, whether its by 50/20 or SRC 25/52. I dont know if Say Your Tears will climb back above 25/52 after Christmas songs exit the Hot 100. But others & I believe Levitating will return for a couple of weeks into 2022.

7 weeks at #1 :clap3: "front loaded" they said. Mariah at #2 :jonny5: Hopefully she'll get the #1 next week.

7 weeks :jonny:

i did NOT believe this, never.

so her 5 #1’s have spent in total 31 weeks at #1

3 more weeks and she will surpass Katy Perry's weeks at #1 :jonny:

That’s a good thing at least
