I've been lurking as a guest for several months now and missed like 3 or 4 open registrations   I'm just happy I finally got in.

For some reason, only gifs don't lose quality when uploaded. Save as gif (it might change slightly, but still not as awful as uploading it as jpg/png) and try again.
