The #1 song has been getting +900k streams all week, while the UK is at ~400k, Germany ~600k, France ~600k, Italy ~500k

Both giant hits, the #3 would be #1 any other week of the year.

It's because it's two smash hits compare instead how much the #200 songs in the weekly charts did and you'll get more proportional numbers (Germany 410k - UK 340k - France 260k - Italy 250k - Spain 240k)

I knew both songs would be massive the moment I heard them.

Even #3 (549k streams) has more streams than the UK #1 (401k) (biggest market in Europe) and the Italian #1 (546k). It's definitely something to point out tho.

C. Tangana dropped a smash. I knew it was going to be big when everybody was spreading the leak on Twitter the day before  it made so much noise everybody was posting it in their stories yesterday. His biggest hit arrived

Statistically you have to look down, the top songs might be outliers. In the UK Amazon Music has a bigger market share than Spotify, they're still the far bigger music industry along with Germany.

Germany is the biggest music market in Europe and they regularly have #1s do over 1mil. Spain #1 doing more than the US #1 a few times doesnt mean much if the rest of the songs dont match up. Most streamed US song was well over 4mil iirc
