Lover hits 2.2B streams in Spotify

Featured Replies

Lover, the IFPI #1 Studio Album of the 2019, WRITTEN by the IFPI #1 artist of 2019, Taylor Swift, who is the biggest female artist of all time in the USA, the biggest western act in Asia, The Most Global Female Pop Star, The Artist of the Decade, The Artist of the Century, just hit 2.2 Billion streams on the Spotify platform.

Why does a 'flop' album is pulling on average 3.5 millions of streams (only in Spotify) daily after 9 MONTHS of its release without 'allegedly' no hits.

Why ATRL ? Discuss. :sistrens:

Bonus: Taylor was the most streamed female artist in USA (all on-demand audio streams) last week higher than doja megan billie etc. So much for an over era.

Bonus 2:

(From Rollingstone charts again, they share the streams in numbers for every album in their chart every week, billboard who ? )

Not impressive at all when you compare with her A list peers who released in 2019 like Ed, Post, Ariana and Billie.

But 1989, :clap3:

How does this compare to other 2019 albums?

It has been consistently pulling higher numbers than any other female album released in 2019 except Billie's.

I thought she was flopping? What happened?

I don't know. She is still in top 5 without any collabration, big hit or novel project (except 5 cute live tracks from 2019), the power of solo-songwriting I guess ?

But ATRL said she had no hits since 1989 and that she's on decline. Would they lie?
