So Demi’s comeback single, I Love Me debuted at #38 on the global Spotify chart with 2.4M streams. Is it a great number for her?? Is it mediocre? Is it a flop?? Thoughts? 

it's good for the amount of promo it got + its a nice song but it's not something that would surprise people or something new

Horrible numbers. 

huge flop. at this point in her career, after arguably her most successful era, a widely publicised health scare and beef with many artists you'd expect her to score decent streaming numbers but no. I feel bad for the girl tbh- she's never had any smash hits and it looks like her chances are over. 

Not all artists are lucky enough to have 137M playlist exposure on the first day and only have 44M, not to mention it’s not even top 20 on THH, I’m sure it will rise tho but thanks for posting the stats

where did u guys even get that number? I checked spotontrack and lytlm got 37m first day exposure whilst I love me got 44m- it even got a whole banner on the homepage and it also got more first day radio play if u go check kworb

Selena had banners on all platforms too and was also #1 on THH the biggest playlist on Spotify whereas ILM was #25, even Feel Me is higher than ILM on THH currently. Rare was also top ten till her team pulled it, Y’all seem to forget the power of being #1 on THH, Dua has been doing amazing numbers with DSN since shes been #1 for so long.

Perhaps her label felt she isn’t worth the streaming playlist investment if they weren’t gonna get it back.

 

Let’s be honest, her masters are probably worth very little.

Demi :((( i was looking forward for this song but she has already made it 10000x it’s just clear to me that she makes music for the charts.

Well... it’s obvious that labels have to pay for top placement on streaming services and Island Records isn’t a Republic or Interscope type of label in winch they have other artist that can make up for any loss.

 

Demi isn’t a reliable recording artist to bring in funding into the label.

Scooter is only a music manager. Its

up to the labels to provide funding for streaming placement, radio ads, advertisements, etc. Scooter does more of the promo slots.

for lytlm sure u can argue that but lahn and feel me in particular didn't get much promo as they were both surprise drops yet lahn outstreamed and ilm barely did better than feel me like feel me has already outstreamed anyone 

 

I agree with how powerful being #1 on TTH is but if u have star power that's not necessary to get a high debut since u have an established audience anyways or gp interest; e.g. BTS or Blackpink's playlisting and radio is practically non-existent but even they get higher debuts when Spotify isn't even available or used in South Korea

 

I hope she does do better later on like SNS but her debuts being so long is a testament to how she lacks star power

I feel like this is ok....for her. A bigger artist, this would be bad, but for a C-list artist, it's ok

For a song that she has previously released a lot of time (I love me, addition blah blah blah BLAH) this is okay. Outside of that, horrible numbers. Girlie literally gave up her integrity to be managed by scooter to help her CaReEr only for it to come back and bite. 
 

What’s really disappointing is that it couldn’t even out debut FL + other artists album tracks

After being able to give her a Grammy performance, i thought Scooter could do bigger payola than this. Debuted lower than No Time To Die is quite tragic. Consider the latter was just an OST released like 2-3 weeks ago  

This is her biggest debut my a large margin so I am definitely happy with it

With all the promo this is tragic 

These numbers would be career ending for a main pop girl, but not for a D list pop singer like Demi.
