So we're gonna pretend there wasnt a period of time when 14 different songs went #1 on the Hot 100 in the span of 14 weeks?

But here we are with the "forgettable viral hits" on the past couple of years :cm:

Please don’t. You like what you like in terms of music! Your taste is something for you to understand and doesn’t matter who disagrees!

I liked this but now I'm questioning my music taste after reading this thread :doc:

I don’t usually like trap music but this song is extremely catchy!! I especially love the “all she wanna do is party all night” line. ATRL is filled with people who stan female pop music and have an automatic dislike for “vIrAl” songs that blow up suddenly. So don’t question your music taste at all smh this pops off

It's hilarious, because if you look at the charts in the past you had songs like 'Disco Duck' going #1. That's as meme as you can get and it was #1 in 1976 :ahh:

Do people think 'I'm too sexy' went #1 in 1992 because people thought the song was thought provoking and serious.

'Informer' by Snow went #1 in 1993, look it up and see if you understand half of what he's saying in it. And that was #1 for weeks.

People don't know 1/2 the **** they talk about.
