This is interesting. I really feel like it's SHAZAM. Because no one is going to shazam a song they dislike.

Spotify/AM are too saturated with Hip-Hop, Country, and non-radio friendly music, so it's difficult to use their charts.

Did marshmello shade radio or something after Happier? He's been releasing non-stop POP music MADE for radio but none of it is sticking. Here With Me, One Thing Right, Be Kind, Come and Go, and OK Not to Be Ok(although this one is weaker imo) couldve all done better but were kind of ignored by radio.

Marshmello is one of the best EDM producers right now, but yeah, in general, Pop radio has been trash with him, a very disgusting treatment.

One Thing Right was a hit though. Didn't peak super high but had great longevity and even made the year end chart.

As for the others it's not really a mystery when Halsey and Demi's solo songs have been flopping too. Here with Me deserved better though.

I feel like DJ singles are different than pop singles though. Their songs are more released for/targeted to streaming success, not radio success, and that's why you'll see them releasing singles like crazy compared to pop artists. Marshmello for example has released/was on 7 singles this year, 8 last year, 11 in 2018, 7 in 2017, etc. In just a few years, DJs can release/be on more singles than some pop artists' entire careers.  Point is, I think it's generally acceptable for a DJ to flop on radio as long as they're still doing their thing on streaming.
