I hate how Sundays only count as official peaks. Bad At Love was #2 behind Havana for a couple days before Perfect passed it as well.  Him & I will probably get blocked as well.

I guess MB bases its official peaks due to Saturday's totals, which come in Sunday. BB uses Mon-Sun as its tracking week, so their radio week begins and ends one day later. That explains why the Country payola #1s start dropping on Mondays even when BBs chart weeks don't change until the next day. Country labels like MB more than BB because it's easier to manipulate MBs Country Chart than BBs.

 

BBs commitment to using audience instead of spins cuts down on some of the labels' pushes to get a song to #1 (but not all, as seen with Maren Morris last week). So Eric Church's "Round Here Buzz" will have peaked at #2 in BB and #1 on MB. Russell Dickerson's "I'm Yours" will (probably) get a two week #1 on BB, while on MB it may have to settle for one week.

 

Body Like A Back Road, as huge as it was (and is I guess), only spent one week at #1 on MB, but three weeks on BB. The labels pushed to get Cam's "Burning House" ahead of Thomas Rhett's huge "Die A Happy Man" worked on MB, but not on BB. Likewise, Brothers Osborne song got ahead of Rhett in his last #1 week on MB, but not BB. So, Rhett spent 6 weeks at #1 on BB with DAHM (longest of 2010s), but "only" four weeks on MB (still HUGE for MBs Country Chart).
