Okay. And Carly Simon's(w/ Mick Jagger) "You're So Vain" is at #139. So she also got a boost.

Don't forget Despacito has the original version in the T 15 too though.

I can't figure out despacito's combined lead bc the other version is at about 30%, higher than the original despacito :'(

basically every song under #8 is 0.000[…] something

Okay. Heart combined is 1.3026. Despacito is 0.6823 combined. So I get Tyler at 1.0000 and Despacito at 0.5328.

She's up a lot on YT.  We won't know anything about Spotify until tomorrow though.

this is an all-time peak for total eclipse of the heart digitally in terms of sales iirc since it first showed up on itunes I think

dark red :'( it was nice while it lasted. not sure how legit the update is tho, it follows the same pattern of previously glitched updates (dark red at top, dark green at bottom)

Last week, it returned to BB 200. The next weeks should start to climb again because of the tour. :alexz:

Back in 1993, Eclipse spent 4 weeks at #1, and finished the YE at #6. The song went Gold, then upgraded to Platinum in 2001 when the thresholds changed. Of course, 1983 was WAY before the SoundScan era. The only song to go Platinum in 83 (when the threshold was 2 M physical singles instead of 1 M) was Dolly Parton's and Kenny Rogers' "Islands In The Stream." "Every Breath You Take," even with its 8 wk #1 run & #1 for 83, stopped at Gold.

wow :skull: damn

but yeah I'm so happy an 80's hit managed to get #1 on itunes in this day and age, even if it's just for a day bc of the eclipse :dies:

Amazed that the eclipse had that much power

I would think in Nashville the eclipse was close to 100%. Here in Tampa Bay, it was 80%, and outside just looked like you were wearing sunglasses when you weren't. In Birmingham, the eclipse was 92-93%. Mom said it just looked like she was wearing sunglasses there.  I'm sure it was still darker there though, as the temperature fell 3 F (1.8 C) degrees for that hour. Even here in Tampa Bay the temperature dropped 2 F (1.1-1.2 C) degrees.

Edit. Nashville was indeed 100%, and the temperature fell 4 F (2.2-2.3 C) there. I'm sure the sales and streams were huge up there, and that the airplay was phenomenal on all formats. Tyler had scored a T 15 Country song with Heartache in the 1970s, so Country probably would've played the song too.

Actually, she and Kenny Rogers are embarking on a farewell tour this year (he's retiring), which means it's everyone's last chance to hear Islands In The Stream live. It actually topped the Country Chart the same two weeks (very rare in the early 1980s) as it did on the Hot 100.  In 2000, Lonestar's Amazed crossed over to mainstream radio and topped the Hot 100 the same week that the band's Smile topped Country -- so same band, but different songs.

I don't know if any artist can replicate Island's feat again, especially since Swift is once again going for another all-Pop album. She really doesn't need to burn her bridges at Country like this, as artists there have far longer lives than those of "Pop Girls." Sam Hunt reached as high as #6 on the H 100 while ruling the hybrid Country Songs Chart. Had BB debuted the genre charts a few weeks sooner in 2012, Swift would've topped both charts at the same time with We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.

Friends is #5

Is this good?? Is this pulling a 2U?? Where was the 2U I Day for at itunes?
