It was a smart decision to keep Perfect away while Shape Of You runs its course.

Also it's way too early to call this a flop, it can climb back to the top10 in few weeks. The single is still a baby

He's not going to have another big hit from his album anyway (US wise)... "Perfect" will be a moderate hit and "Dive", if released, could be a "Don't" sized hit. The rest of the songs will do NOTHING if released.

Well I am going to say this, after listening to Ed's album, I don't see him getting other big hits from this album in the US, Castle could have become a nice hit for him if it wasn't released along with SOY, right now the song feels old and he already performed it and released the music video, so what's left for the song. Perfect is definitely not better than Thinking out loud and is kinda boring, it goes nowhere. SOY and Castle stand out but the rest sound the same.

 

Didn't he already perform Castle on Ellen? and it had no effect.

they should let live castle on it's own course, then release Perfect in fall everywhere on the same time

I'm not really shocked about the cure. She released a song and went away. When promo starts she will go higher again. The song is good and the radio seems to care about the song. Spotify is also looking promising. I think the song will do good
