#393 Poker Face

has to be in the top 5 biggest classics of the century

It's below "I Gotta Feeling", "Rolling In The Deep", "Party Rock Anthem", "Somebody That I Used To Know", "Call Me Maybe" and "Uptown Funk".

Speaking of which:

883. I Gotta Feeling

603. Rolling In The Deep

N/A. Party Rock Anthem

923. Somebody That I Used To Know

1037. Call Me Maybe

138. Uptown Funk

Uptown Funk is still fresh so it cannot be compared to the rest of the songs.

I think PF was bigger (and still is) than Call Me Maybe & Somebody That I Used To Know :celestial5:

It really isn't, it's doing terrible on streaming in comparison to those two.

"Uptown Funk" is one of the biggest hits of All Time. It doesn't need to age anymore to get that title. Billboard already ranked it in the top 15 biggest hits of all time even before its chart run ended :rip:

Both "Call Me Maybe" and "Somebody That I Used To Know" have more streams and more sales than "Poker Face", and were bigger hits (neither of them have current eras unfolding, meanwhile Gaga has Joanne and a Coachella performance this week).

ed Kendrick and Julia coming for harry. well, combined ed is already ahead.

Terrible?

Youtube daily views :

- Somebody That I Used to Know : ~550k
- Call Me Maybe : ~400k

- Poker Face : ~350k

Considering PF is quite older that the other two, this is actually quite good in comparison.

I don't really care about recurrent sales and streams. But STIUTK and CMM were much bigger hits than Poker Face overall

That + comparing them to a song that was recently performed in front of 150 million people is completely nonsensical

Pokerface has aged like milk. I remember Bad romance way more from that era. Call me maybe still sounds juvenile Ill never see it as a classic. Not all huge smashes are classics.

I hope Harry has some strong promo lined up cause he's gonna have to work to find an audience for this amazing song. His 1D fans are clearly not gonna keep it afloat. Typical fickle teenybop fans. Maybe if he released sooner theyd still be there.

Yeah Poker Face might Gaga's worst single from that period for me. :soda:

Just read that COTH is being pushed instead of GG?

Looks like it's COTH in the U.S. and GG in Europe.

"Poker Face" wasn't even bigger than "Right Round" in the US. It was blocked by it and "Boom Boom Pow" for much of its run.

It's not even Top 40.

And people keep saying he is not the Male Adele :fan:

Kendrick is higher than Harry almost 2 weeks after release...

Poker Face should outsell Call Me Maybe soon :emofish:

Better chart run =/= bigger hit overall. Nearly half of Poker Face's sales (~3.3 million out of 7.4 million) happened after its chart run already ended thus aren't reflected in it's Hot 100 performance. It outsold both of those songs you mentioned in the end :katie:

And which song was performed in front of million of people this year? :ace: You can't be that dense :rip:

And let's take a look at its total sales:

"Somebody That I Used To Know": 7,950,000

"Call Me Maybe": 7,600,000

"Poker Face": 7,300,000

Weeks at #1 on the Hot100:

"Somebody That I Used To Know": 8 weeks

"Call Me Maybe": 9 weeks

"Poker Face": 2 weeks

STIUTK and CMM were, as you can see, bigger than PF.
