sombr - "My Body Isn't Ready"
It makes someone as tasteless and talentless as her likes it. HORRIBLE

Katy Perry - "Watch It Burn"
Horrible tedious garbage. The bar is truly in hell for her if people think this is some comeback miracle of a song lmfao

Is I Knew It, I Know You a real hit?
Absolutely not. Her days of being a genuine general public fave are OVER. Most people can't stand her or this stupid corny song. It makes ZERO impact within the context of the film even as a credits song. I don't think the Academy is dying to give her an Oscar either so it won't get that boost. Think of how terrible the rest of the year would have to be for movies for people to still care about this 9 months from now. A nomination is still possible since it's not hard to campaign **** within the song branch if you're desperate enough - look at Diane Warren.

Carly Rae Jepsen - "On Wires"
I like that it feels unexpected and different for her. A lot of her recent music has been forgettable pablum but I could see this growing on me.
-
Phoebe Bridgers - "Lost Boys"
one of the most overrated "high brow" artists. her songwriting is so dull and basic, like Taylor Swift for people who think they're smart, and this long anticipated single shows not much has changed.

I Knew It, I Knew You sees no movie release boost. Why?
especially when they hear that voice in surround sound

I Knew It, I Knew You sees no movie release boost. Why?
That was largely because Encanto bombed in theaters and people finally saw it on Disney+ Plus it's a catchy banger and within the movie Anyone watching TS5 on Disney+ isn't hanging around for the credits so she is getting skipped to watch another episode of Bluey or whatever. Much like she's now getting skipped on Spotify.

I Knew It, I Knew You sees no movie release boost. Why?
They really thought she was winning an Oscar for a forgettable credits song LMAO Think of the emotional impact and memorability of You've Got a Friend in Me and When Somebody Love Me. Well there's none of that here.

Was Christina's "Back to Basics" overshadowed by Gwen, Nelly, Fergie and Amy?
Exactly. Even as a child it felt kind of sad for her. It was a cute project but she simply wasn't generating attention and excitement like she did for Stripped. A lot of time had passed after that and it almost felt like an old veteran having a random comeback even though she was still in her mid 20s.

I Knew It, I Knew You sees no movie release boost. Why?
As per usual with Swift, she spammed promo to secure the #1 so everyone that was interested in listening to it already did before the movie release (rare for film songs). No boost without being a general public fave, which it's not because the general public is largely repulsed by her now and the song itself is mediocre and cute at best. There were audible groans in my theater when it came on at the end.

Taylor's catalogue reaches an all time low in streams. What happened?
Swifties have their heads in the sand over how much backlash to her is real. Her oversaturation, mediocre output, offputting attention seeking, and vile billionaire tendencies have reached the general public and she's become the very definition of uncool. There were audible groans in my theater when her song came on at the end of Toy Story 5.

Are Twitter Swifties starting to be deranged?
This is such a mask off moment for them. Many of us knew they were insane but there's no excusing this level of vitriol, delusions, misogyny, racism, and petty one-sided rivalries. They're literally like MAGA conspiracy theorists down to centering their cult leader in every narrative. low key excited for Taylor's next album release because you just know it'll continue her terrible streak and they'll lose grip with reality even more

Will Lorde ever have another hit?
Don't make me laugh. She seems like she has gained back some of the artistic drive she lost after becoming a rich lady of leisure, but it's too late. She'll always have a loyal but diminishing base of listeners though.

UPDATE: Halsey vs Fantano: Fantano drags Halsey's past making out with underage fans
I HATE THIS PIECE OF **** AND EVERYONE WAITING FOR HIS REVIEWS LIKE HE'S RELEASING A NEW GOSPEL he's just a mediocre straight white man youtuber that thinks too highly of himself and his opinions...like we don't have enough Bravo to Halsey and Twitter bullies for ending him

What's the tea on why 143 turned out like it did?
She was never a great artist and that can only go so far. Her brand of pop is outdated and corny. She pandered to demographics without really understanding what turns them on (the cringe girlboss feminism of the lead single and thinking screaming YAS KWEEN will make gays love you). Embarrassing all around.

Is Miley Cyrus a legend?
Absolutely the **** not. She's more known as a general entertainer/personality than having a legitimately legendary music career that will stand the test of time. Those kinds of people are only "legends" to a very limited generation of people and that applies to millennials who grew up with her.

I think Taylor will keep releasing terrible music for a long time
Well, all of her music is bad except for some select tracks from folklore and her earliest albums. Non-Taylor fans cite 1989 as their favorite Swift album but it's aged SO poorly from a production standpoint and being emblematic of her cringiest traits. You're telling me people can still listen to Shake It Off, Welcome to New York, and Bad Blood without so much second hand embarrassment it causes physical pain? I don't want to know them. So yes, odds are she will continue releasing terrible music as it's long been her standard. Consistent queen

Taylor Swift - โI Knew It, I Knew Youโ
AWFUL. Another failed attempt for the Oscar.
