Florence + The Machine - 'Everybody Scream'
That's cool! Please bring us news on this talk for those of us who can't attend. This snippet reminded me of something celestial from the end of How Big How Blue How Beautiful, but now that you mentioned Welcome to My Island I can see a connection too. I'm wondering if she's not going to release this song this Wednesday, she's been releasing a lot of snippets, and so far we've only had two singles. And all the singles were released a week before the month ended.

Florence + the Machine - "One of the Greats"
I think the connection is the fact that in Everybody Scream she ends up dead, and in One Of The Greats she starts the song about coming back from the dead, and the song itself is about resurrection.

Florence + the Machine - "One of the Greats"
Exactly, even the critics loved Dance Fever, so any argument against it is irrelevant.

Oh, poor little boy 😭 can't read a text because their ego was hurt........ Okay, my dear, don't even try, even if you wanted to you wouldn't understand what I mean, because apparently you only understand what you want to. Live your life in ignorance, it is a blessing!

You're all simply pathetic because if these recent eras were truly just 'fan service,' Florence would have gone back to working with Mark Dravs or Paul Epworth and released another album like How Big or Ceremonials. The truth is, you're stuck in an idealized past, unable to accept that an artist, especially a woman, can mature in ways that don't fit your narrow, preconceived boundaries. It seems the only path you recognize as legitimate for her is the one you can comprehend, and any attempt at innovation or change is dismissed as "caricature" 'cringe", or "pastiche" The thing is, Florence doesn't need your validation of outdated standards, she never did, and the aesthetic, whether it's bat wings, a cape, or a witch's dress, has never diminished the artistic value of her work, and it shouldn't. Nothing you say will ever change the relevance of a woman who's been in the game for almost 20 years, challenging expectations and reinventing herself along the way, while you remain stuck, criticizing her evolution simply because you can't see past what you once knew. Art doesn't have to reflect your own limited concepts of what's "serious" or "legitimate", Florence has always been more than a caricature, and that's exactly what makes her unique.

Autumn?? Autumn is just the artistic director, not someone actively involved in the songwriting process. And honestly, this idea that Florence needs the "trusty old machine" is laughable Isa is doing her own thing now, and she's not going to drop everything to fill a gap you think Florence can't manage herself. The whole critique about her lyricism being "repetitive" is exactly the kind of thing that gets thrown out before even hearing the full song. It's all a bit pathetic, don't you think?

Oh, but all the criticism of Heaven is Here was because of the short time, it was fair, the song is good, everyone liked it, they just hated it because it was too short.
