Lyrically I'm a bit what is this, honey? Sonically it's ok, but I feel it's missing something.

After a few days, to me she really struck gold with this project. This second album expands so much on the first one, it brings a lot of her own story, family and all. The visuals are so impeccable too. My favourites from the second part are Sal Grosso, Não Me Cutuca, Feitiço, Ponta Do Pé, Respira and Oke, but honestly I like all the songs.

The second one is as good or better than the first one. I love how she incorporated a lot more samba and other genres into it. The video was also so good. A clear creative vision in this project and it paid off.

I'm excited for this. Seems like the album will be mainly about grief as he lost his dad since Super and had a hiatus for that. For the non-Brazilians, Memórias Póstumas is a clear reference to a classic literature book Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas, which is lauded as one of the greatest works of Machado de Assis (our most famous and acclaimed writer). In the book the main character is dead and all the plot is his remarks and observations post death.

They stopped doing anything with music, but they kept the reality and scripted TV stuff I think.

What a mess of a show. They should've cut everyone but Madonna and Shakira.

I know this is an old criticism already, but why do they have so many artists for it to be only 11 minutes, at this point point Madonna is only going to say thanks for coming and leave the stage. The line up is a bit random too, seems like it was created with AI. Madonna and Shakira would've done the job.

Is this going to happen or not? They are using it where I live to market the album, but I don't see any other movement.

I'm obsessed with this album. I still cannot believe we're living a well received Madonna era.

I was carefully excited about the album, and I'm happy I found the albums to be great, and I don't think you need any caveats like 40 years into her career and all, it'd be good at any point. That being said, it is her best in 21 years. It's such a distinctively Madonna album, I can hear not only the COADF references, but ROL, Erotica, etc. it's full of looking back and re-inventing it. The production is great and I love the non-stop mix. To me, call me basic if you want, Danceteria was such a high point, I wanted to hear it in full since the film and it did not disappoint. Throughout the rollout cycle we did discuss something felt different, and I guess this work comes from a very inspired and passionate Madonna, and that's why she seems also excited about it. The low points of the album for me can be overlooked because the final product is great, the only thing for me (and don't kill me) is that I did find it to be dragging a bit at the end, when I was in like track 14, I was feeling it was being a bit long. That being said, it's great to have Madonna serving us c*nt again.

I agree, I feel like I've followed her other releases, but I don't remember being excited about a new album of hers since around Hard Candy.

It's been a while since I've been this excited to hear an album. Can't wait for Friday

Not gonna lie, I thought it was gonna be a mess from the snippet, but it's actually a good song. I do think it misses something in the end though.

Isn't the guitar riff at the start of Like A Prayer (song) also done by Prince but non credited?

I think the album was designed like that. There's definitely a melancholy in the girl so in love part, and the you seem pretty sad is a bit more reflective, bittersweet and pick myself up vibe.
