Like many, I've been side-eyeing Lana for a long time (since the mesh mask and subsequent "there was a plastic liner" lie), especially after featuring and pushing Judah Smith on her record and socials, among all the other things. That being said, while it's "Lana-coded" to marry a random unattractive dude, I didn't expect her to marry a Q-anon Trumpie, while insisting to the fans that he's "really kind/smart/caring" or whatever she said. It's beyond disappointing and I haven't really listening to her music much since all this happened. She doesn't care because her privilege would shield her from the ramifications of a Trump presidency, and has always had a victim mentality (I say this as a fan of 12+ years, Lana hardly misses the opportunity to bring up how much unfair criticism she got during the beginning of her career, even during times when her accomplishments are being recognized), so I imagine the backlash from fans is strengthening their relationship in an "us against the world" kind of way. "Everybody's saying that you're no good for me…"

I'll take it, loved this record.

I like her record a lot, and have agreed with most of her takes re: stalker fans and fame, but wtf is this??? Girl, fame and its deep pitfalls are so different than being married to an abusive person 💀 She could easily step away from this, at least compared to stepping away from an abusive marriage. What a wild and kind of dumb thing to say. I was really surprised to learn she's in her mid-twenties.

Moved out at 18, had to come back for 6 months (live-in partner was arrested and it finally clicked for me that they were abusive) at 24, but have been on my own since. Just turned 30!
