That was a moment. Taylor has never had that. Sure, she's had hits, she's had successful eras, but she she's never been that girl. She's never been regarded as cool, fashionable, innovative. Nothing about her is organic, she's never owned pop culture through the sheer power of music. She is where she is right now simply because she managed to start a cult that got large & brave enough to gaslight the gp into thinking that Taylor is some kind of once in a generation talent, a queen who reigns supreme and can only be rivaled by Michael Jackson I mean, yes, her impact is undeniable but it is not the impact her rabid fans think it is. History will not be kind to her because, at the end of the day, music is the only thing that prevails. 103 years from now people will be dumbfounded by the cringefest that is her discography, wondering how she even got famous in the first place. They won't give a damn about her Spotify streams, number ones or overall stats, I can tell you that much. Such details are meaningless in the grand scheme of things if the music itself is not timeless. Let us not forget Danielle Steel has sold over 500 million books... a massive number on paper, right? Well, unfortunately for her (and Taylor), numbers will never make up for lack of quality.
