Just saw that they gave her the cover of Hits Daily Doubles first Grammy special. She's got her eyes on the prize this era, for sure.

That user was proved to be in a groupchat where they farm clips and soundbites to 'take down' or set up female artists, so it's not a surprise that there are about twenty bots spreading that video around using the same buzzwords. If she did, then awesome this is what people claimed to want to see her do when they criticized her for looking "too clean" to do kinder**** aesthetic. If she's just adjusting her bra straps then it just becomes a sea of people literally grasping at straws trying to find something cancellable about Olivia and tbh if "touched her armpit, wiped her hands off stage during a quick change, and then ran through to greet people who would 100% not mind her sweat getting on them" is the best thing people could come up with then they're in for a hell of a mental breakdown if she even wins a single Grammy in February.

The Cure is a strong enough song and the correct choice to go all in on. It's the highest performer on the album, it was immediately well liked and has stayed in the conversation since it debuted. It's basically the centerpiece of the tour too.

Those messages are clearly not from Livies, and this whole situation was stoked by Swifties so we can all put two and two together and determine who the culprits are in that situation. The ill-advised Showgirl encore was such a flop that even her chart accounts would rather talk about Olivia. Every single person online knows the Swifties have it out for Olivia, this will be done with in a day.

The only song that didn't cut out for me on a livestream was The Cure and it's like a reward from Olivia herself lol, that was an incredible performance of the song. Song of the year tbh.

People bringing up donations that Taylor makes as a private citizen are kind of comparing apples to oranges. It is admirable, it is a good thing she does. But she's not doing it with the same goal as Olivia with Daisy Chain Fields which was about shining a spotlight and platforming charities and essential services under direct attack from the current administration. Those causes shouldn't be, but are "controversial" because they are focused on helping women, a lot of the time women of color, whose bodies are needlessly politicized. Taylor funding food banks is again admirable, but you know. Feeding people isn't controversial, protecting women's right to choose what to do with their bodies is. Taylor doing something like Farm Aid or Live Aid something with an actual end goal is probably what this writer wants from Taylor. Is it a fair wish to have, a fair critique to lob at a pop star? No, but this is what happens when state policy fail, people do look to those with cultural cache for help and right now pop stars have the cache to do that.

This isn't even a diss or bad comparison. Taylor Swift had great lead singles, she's not interested in doing that anymore (releasing lead singles) so that's why they're saying "used to". And she just came off what was essentially a greatest hits tour and re-recording her old music, I don't think it's a stretch to say that nostalgia and bigger hits in her past catalogue are part of a reason why she's still popular today. And her old stuff is much more popular that her new stuff anyways.

I think Olivia has handled the situation as well as anyone could have, and Swifties have been super delusional about Olivia. 'Nothing New' proves that Taylor's been having nightmares about a new pop star whose exact description fits Olivia Rodrigo to the letter since the Red sessions, and both of them have gotten their shots in. Taylor looks suspect after making the buying and selling of her albums a key component in her modern persona (the situation being framed as traumatizing, her becoming someone who fights for artists, she's a mastermind for devaluing her masters and buying them back) and Olivia will forever be looked down upon as a copycat artist and will have an extra deluded fandom breathing down her neck for her entire career. The true and ultimate villain here is that fandom. Taylor is at the height of her power, and they're bored and miserable and won't let sleeping dogs lie.

Acting as if none of us saw the video where she was happily throwing Florence Pugh under the bus for Shia LaBeouf is a choice. Florence can keep walking away with a clean conscience here, the only good thing about that movie. Plus she's in ******* Dune 3 this year, she's fine.

She might actually be reviving Lilith Fair, or something female focused like that event. That's pretty cool.

Fantano's review was out of line, but there will never be anything cool about calling out a bad review. It will always make you look thin skinned and petty lol, there was an actress this weekend who did the same thing and it was such a terrible ******* look.

she's going vegan! I had been thinking tomorrow's announcement was more tour dates, maybe dates for performances in Asia or Latin America, some Australian/NZ shows. But I don't think she'd go on GMA for that. Maybe an initiative for her Fund 4 Good, or a documentary or something?
