  1. Why is this the funniest thing I've ever seen
  2. It's an Oscar, not a Grammy. The award is not recognizing a song for being a good song, it's recognizing a song for significantly contributing to a film. That's why Bond themes win so often, the songs are always prominently featured in the film and do a lot of heavy lifting to establish the entire emotional tone and direction of the film. None of Taylor's soundtrack add-ons have done that. If this isn't featured prominently in the film, it likely won't win or even be nominated. Unless they just feel like giving her an award because she's Taylor Swift.
  3. Your comment had no relation to anything I said.
  4. What does same sex marriage have to do with the IOC disallowing trans women from competing as women?
  5. Yes I have considered that and continue to understand that I may be wrong. As you may also be.
  6. It's not apples and oranges. You were responding to the argument made by those who support the IOC's new policy - that trans people should compete in a separate league. No one on that side of the issue is saying the trans-inclusive league must be an exclusively trans league. That would be a strawman invented by you.
  7. It's a sporting event specifically inclusive of the LGBTQIA community. You said there are so few trans women athletes that such a thing could not exist. Well it does exist. It's not exclusively for trans people as it includes the entire LGBTQIA community but it does exist.
  8. It's justification for you to seriously consider that you might be missing something or not fully/accurately understanding the other side
  9. Gay Games XII Valencia 2026Gay Games XII Valencia 2026:Valencia, host of the Gay Games 2026, a sporting and cultural event held every four years. Gay Games: united for equality, diversity and inclusion
  10. They said they're testing for y chromosomes, not for an 'ideal woman' lol.
  11. It's mostly irrelevant but it's not completely irrelevant. Doesn't the fact that increasing numbers of otherwise-progressive governments, political parties, individuals, and apolitical organizations like the IOC are disagreeing with you here? Like, in a certain sense you are right. Public opinion does not dictate reality. But shouldn't the change in public opinion and official opinion at least give you pause that maybe you're not really understanding the other side accurately? Have you ever considered the possibility that you might actually be wrong on this one? Or at least that you might be missing something? If you won't even consider the weaknesses in your own position then at a certain point the likelier scenario is that you are closed minded.
  12. The IOC said they're testing for Y chromosomes, not testosterone levels. I'm old enough to remember when the idea of a separate trans or genderqueer sports category was not viewed as 'well meaning' at all. It was viewed as transphobic and the left would attack anyone taking that position. Even in your attempt to oppose the other side you are capitulating to their position.
