i think Hurricane Madonna is just going to be too strong in those categories for a win (acclaimed album, commercial revival, veteran/legend), but Tinashe needs to finally get that overdue nomination at the very least!

i think a big part of it also comes down to like... how unfiltered the acts are allowed to be in my experience. like it was such a drag when i saw LOONA (RIP) because the girls were mostly using a translator and it was either very scripted or like... super simple Q&A type stuff which is just a chore to get through. Sunmi and Yerin Baek had great audience interaction moments at my shows though (on their own tours in 2022), and I think that's because both are established acts with a lot of personal freedom. Also helps that they're both fluent in English so they can actually just be themselves with no help. Also wasn't a ton of it in either show, so that helped. I know some folks like the structured fan service, but mama i'm here for the performance!

did you read the review at all? i think they did a pretty good job of explaining their stance on it actually; implying that your record was a labor of love down to supposedly tracking down vintage tech for authenticity before admitting that much of the production was AI-assisted if not generated is like... a pretty shitty thing to do as an "artist." the closing paragraphs make it perfectly clear and reasonable imo
