Demi Lovato - "Kiss"
Fun song, felt like it would've been better as a B-Side to be discovered on the album

More impressive: Adele breaking NSYNC's record vs Taylor breaking Adele's record?
Taylor's record, while very impressive, never surprised me because I'm aware of how big and dedicated her fan base is. Adele's fanbase seems like it's the entire GP, so I guess that's more impressive to me.

Who Got The Best Debut Single: Beyonce, Gaga or Britney?
BOMT > CIL > JD Weirdly enough I thought Poker Face was Gaga's debut.

Britney - "Heaven on Earth" appreciation thread
All my friends underrate this song. A shame since it's one of my favorites

"Life of a Showgirl" sounds like Jonas Brothers "Cool" - Taylor's 2nd ripoff. Why?
It does sound pretty similar, but the melody's pretty easy to come up with if you're just following the chord progression. I don't think it's intentional but I want the Jonas Brothers to file a claim just for the drama

Why are you all so obsessed with artist 12th album??
It's good that people are criticizing the album, so she learns and does better. I'm still very upset at the wasted potential of Max Martin and Shellback.

Who is bigger now: Katy or Kesha?
The fact that this debate has gone on for five pages already says a lot. One artist has major label backing, radio deals, and a long-established legacy, while the other is now fully independent and just emerged from a decade-long legal battle. Yet, despite all that, Kesha is still being compared on equal footing. That alone speaks volumes to me.

JADE - "FUFN (F*ck You For Now)"
this leaking before a release date is so bad :(

wasn't it out on november 2004? always loved her with bloodshy & avante

Lady Gaga - "Disease"
This really grew on me, the last minute of the song is a masterpiece. Her vocals are so incredible. All she needs to do now is drop a spooky video on Halloween.

Lady Gaga - Disease | Day 16: #111 Global (-29), 1.5M (-240K)
i feel like she is as big culturally. debut numbers are useless as they only show you how big the diehard fans are

Lady Gaga - Disease | Day 16: #111 Global (-29), 1.5M (-240K)
her highest solo debut so far, why is everyone painting this as flop? stan culture is weird

Lady Gaga - "Disease"
sounds unintentionally outdated, but i still love it tbh so happy she went back to darkpop

Katy Perry - '143'
I'm honestly shocked at how mediocre this album is. I know it's Katy, so I wasn't expecting anything too deep, but even for her, this feels incredibly bland. Every track is built around the same repetitive 4-bar instrumental, and it just loops over and over. It's boring, and I was just yawning through the whole thing. I don't get how you can have big-name producers & songwriters working on this and still end up with something that feels so empty and uninspired. There's no variety, no interesting choices, no standout moments. It's just... flat. I really feel bad for her.

LISA f/ ROSALÍA - "New Woman"
was not expecting it to be this good! the production, the hooks, the amazing switch up, and the video? wow. one of the best songs of the year imo
-
Kesha - "Joyride"
honestly im proud of kesha for this single. it has such a unique theme and its addictive. theres a lot of potential for it to be viral imo.

Katy Perry - "Woman's World"
She's been a target, with people mocking her since 'Witness' for trying too hard to be relatable. Now, in an attempt to be taken more seriously as a 'pop girl', she tried to return to her most successful formula, the empowerment themes of Roar and Firework. However, she decided to reconnect with a known woman abuser and inexplicably maintain her 'comedic/satire' camp style in a women's empowerment song. There are so many things wrong with her approach this time, it's no surprise she's facing ridicule.

Katy Perry - "Woman's World"
did she really think this was the plan?

Timberlake NY DWI Update: Scores plea deal: No drunk driving charge, only $500 fine
when someone who causes harm to others faces consequences, it's more about celebrating justice being served

Brit Smith - "Karma's A B*tch"
I agree, almost every claim of her wasn't backed up by evidence, like the majority of people saying she said she wrote the song when that never happened? I'd like to see how she's actually problematic otherwise this hate bandwagon is very weird.
-
Brit Smith - "Karma's A B*tch"
So there's a possibility that Jojo Siwa is getting paid from this?
-
Brit Smith - "Karma's A B*tch"
I thought the performers get paid too but I just learned that's not true lol
-
Brit Smith - "Karma's A B*tch"
Doesn't Jojo Siwa get money from this?

Is J Lo giving sense to the word "visual movie"?
this looks really cool, and she's known for her music and her movies so to combine both is a really great idea for her fans i don't understand the hate.
