Thank you so much! I actually thought about having a chorus to tie everything together, but I decided against it in the end because I felt like it'd be more impactful that way. Which I think paid off for this one Thank you so much! Honestly, it was a bit of a challenge as like you said, since it's an anime that already has a musical element attached to it. So, it was a fun to try writing without having it being the same. I thought about incorporating parts of the actual story elements but I wanted the song to have a "prequel" kinda feel, something that Mafuyu experienced before the storyline of the anime. I think that also helped differentiated between my song and the song from the anime Damn, I did not expect a top 10 at all since I haven't cracked the Top 10 at all since the beginning Thank you so much and I'll try my best for the final round! Am not sure which challenge I'd like to take for now, but I feel like it'd be interesting either way. Just want to ask regarding the Nothing Challenge though. Could we do the Nothing Challenge and use past challenges that we never really used? Like for example, I did the multimedia challenge but now I want to try out the Cultural or Historical Challenge. Or try out the earth element which isn't present in my song's imagery at all

Thank you so much for the review! This song was a really deeply personal song so I didn't know how it'd be perceived but I'm glad you enjoyed the lyrics! With this entry, I figured I'd try to incorporate family (Verse 1 until Chorus 1), religion (Verse 3 until Chorus 2) then ending it on a more hopeful outlook. Am glad it paid off since this was a bit out of my comfort zone Thank you so much for the review! Actually, now that you brought up the "all of them" part, it kinda made sense. When I was writing initially, I was just thinking of how identity represented everything inside of me - basically my emotions, secrets, who I am as a person. Essentially, I'm made to become someone else sorta thing. So, I didn't really think about how it'd sound like from an outsider perspective so thank you for that! Definitely will keep that in mind for the next few rounds I'm also glad you like the method acting line! That was the first thing I thought about when I conceived the "Mask" title, actually I initially was gonna do a happy hopeful ending but I figured it wouldn't be realistic and also because I feel like this was my personal situation atm so it wouldn't make sense for me to end it on a great note.

I think this round would be really interesting, like you said, because I think I'll be going in another direction for this round. It'll be a bit personal so it's gonna be different from what I've presented in the last two rounds
