I loved GnR way back in the day,  and I still love a lot of their songs. But having GnR as the #16 artist of 2017 seems WAY off. I guess BB weighs touring VERY heavily here.

WHEW a legend sneakin in there

Yeah. I think TF peaked at #39 and only had 20 weeks on the Hot 100. It did sell well, and crossed over some to AC & HAC. But honestly I thought the song would've crossed over better than it did. Honestly, TF sounded more AC & HAC than Country to begin with. I think TF's streaming was a little above average for a Country song too. But, yeah. TF peaked at only #39 and didn't have exceptional longevity.

Yeah, he almost pulled a Paula Cole. Her I Don't Want To Wait peaked at #11, but ranked at #10 on the 1998 YE H 100.

But, Cole had the benefit of BB not including album cuts until just two weeks after Cole fell of the H 100. Her H 100 ranking each week was 15-20 positions HIGHER than her rank on the radio chart. And her song had long since sold out.

On the other hand, Arthur achieved this the right way, with a  SRC song that fit within the chart year almost perfectly. He finished within the T 10 on both sales and streaming, but he finished much lower (but still within the T 50) on YE HSS. So streaming was his weakest link.

As for the song that finished the highest in the YE T 10 without reaching the T 10 weekly, go back to 1973 with Kris Kristofferson's Why Me, it peaked at #16 weekly, but at #6 year end. Why/How? Why Me tied the Beatles Hey Jude for the second longest T 40 run (at that time, behind Mack The Knife's 22 week T 40 run), and spent 38 weeks in the Hot 100, which did set a record for the time. Since Kris fell of the H 100 from #52, based on the less accurate way of obtaining radio and retail reports, he should've at least spent 40 weeks on the H 100.

Bruno was stuck @ 2 so many times :rip:

That's What I Like was #2 for 10 weeks :rip:

Before any tries arguing with me, this is just my opinion:

31 trap songs on the YE list?! I'm glad Billboard is readjusting their rules. This has, by far, been the worst year in music for me. Outside trap music, the charts were ruled by awful Imagine Dragons songs. What little female artists that did chart were awful as well. "Bodak Yellow," "Scars To Your Beautiful" and "Love On The Brain" were all they had to offer all year? I hope 2018 is better. :rip:

Also, LOL at "Feels" almost out-charting "Chained To The Rhythm" and :rip::rip::rip: at "Say You Won't Let Go" peaking at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and ending the year also at #11. What kind of bad luck?!

I wish Believer had ended up higher than #9, but a YE top 10 is a YE top 10 nonetheless. Smoke + Mirrors era ha revenge. :alexz:

I am sorry but Million reasons not being one of the top 100 songs in the US, the only place in the world it did okay... Tragic. Females lost big time.

I just wish that BB had changed the rules at the beginning of the 2018 Chart Year. That would have made much more sense.

Bu-but... ATRL told me It Aint Me was going to be way bigger than Stay, even in the USA...

Funny how Stay ended up as one of the biggest songs of the year in the Billboard YEC, and IAM many positions behind :fan:

Congrats to Selena tho, but I was hoping to see one of her solo songs on the list aswell, I like Bad Liar. :clap3:

Alessia not being TOP 5 is a shame, I would easily put her above Lady Gaga this year, but eh whatever, #6 is just as good :clap3:

Check the old threads if you want to, but literally everyone even the Selenators said that Stay was bigger in the US, and that IAM was bigger WW :cm:
