I personally love the album but it's definitely not as instantly mindblowing as some of her other projects but I think that's what makes it special in its own right. I think it's way higher than 8.1 personally but I think I can understand why they'd give it that. I'll read the review after I go to the beach

When your discography is so good that an 8.1 is considered a disappointment

well-written review I'd probably give this album an 8.4 whereas I'd give Raven somewhere around a 9.2 for instance

deserves at least a 9 but still great score

like @K$Ellie pointed out, it's also not being super well received by other forums and sites. It's also her worst rated on p4k. Yes they gave it 8+ but that is not hard to get nowadays if you make decent enough music.
