Sounds about right. Natasha Bedingfield was in the same circles recording at the time, which is how she ended up with Rodney Jerkins / LaShawn Daniels / Rico Love / Cri$tyle creation "Angel"... another record that should've been on Human (replacing "Torn Down").

As for the latter part.... I definitely think that's where some of her 'presumed resentment' for Beyonce came from: One of Beyonce's main collaborators at the time took over as president at Epic Records (Amanda Ghost - a songwriter/vocalist behind B songs "Beautiful Liar", 'Disappear", "Ave Maria", "Satellites", and "Once In A Lifetime"), and in a cost-saving move suddenly priority acts Brandy, Alexandra Burke, and Jennifer Lopez were trading second-rate The-Dream, Tricky Stewart, Pharrell, Timbaland, and StarGate demos that sounded like I Am..Sasha Fierce rejects (or were actually IASF rejects) like "Louboutins", "Slow Love", 'Fear Of Flying", and 'Fresh Out The Oven." After the former and latter of those released singles records flopped, all three acts were dropped, and then Amanda Ghost was dropped as president too.

The only records from those sessions that were great were "Romeo & Juliet", "(Chinese) Home", and "Drum Life".
