    really interesting comparison OP - i had to re-listen to both to get a feel

    genuinely a tough vote, but i have to go with christina. to be fair to britney, the way that a pop song is conveying such a sad message is pretty awesome, especially for where she was in life at the time. i should also add that britney's music video is awesome.
