Rediscovering 2011 - 15 Years Later

Featured Replies

I've been recently revisiting albums released in 2011 and realized almost everyone put a new album that year. Was an great year for new music.

Born This Way, 21, Talk That Talk, 4, Femme Fatale, etc all came out 15 years ago!

Even artists like Aqua, Evanescence, and Weird Al put out new enties in 2011.

What are your favourites released that year?

Happy to be old enough to remember this era. I was 13.

Gaga, Rihanna, and Katy were all dominating. Beyoncé was transitioning into becoming a legend. Britney was still getting hits. This is also the year Lana surfaced

Not Natalia Kills (her own career).

I completely forgot about her. Maybe I'll add this to my revisit.

Let England Shake - PJ Harvey

Strange Mercy - St. Vincent

Wounded Rhymes - Lykke Li

Ceremonials - Florence and the Machine

Those were the days.

Came to post this. What a stellar debut. So thankful I was able to live through this specific era. I still use every single track to this day.

i was in my indie era, would only have heard BTW, 4, TTT years later. i have no doubt ATRL will be transfixed by what i liked in 2011
