I mean it's the best example of that meme :

The music AND the melody sound so funny and partyish while the lyrics are about r*pe and trauma 💀

the Zendaya song? Spotify is blocked for me.

Every single day yeah I dig a grave

Then I sit inside it wondering if I'll behave

The Chromatica song

Have you suffered that mental illness? But I did and it's still haunting me. My brain, it's like a projector, it, sometimes, plays past moments that I wanna hide and forget it but I can't. Every time it happens, I pause myself and bite my lips and feel very annoyed.

I can't fix it.

People say Taylor Swift is relatable, yes but Gaga's lyrics are more closer to me, maybe I stan her first or maybe I am also a mental illness patient.

That's Chromatica on the whole

It's actually a very dark album

!!! We don't call it TRAUMATICA for no reason. The storytelling and messaging is insane. People who claim it was substance-less and empty really lack comprehension and judged it surface level.

Amazing song on an amazing album outside of Stupid ****, I hate that song.

For me, Chromatica was Gaga at her musical resurgence and really finding niche sounds that were so her, that Elton song is also just phenomenal imo, both versions.

Only those with really musically trained ears can keep up with some of those song structures and production.

You're 6 years late… lmao. That's basically most of Chromatica - fun sounding songs with dark lyrics because she was depressed while making the album. She's said this only like 500 times.

that's why i love Chromatica sm it's literally trauma with an uplifting beat

I don't know what to do

You don't know what to say

The scars in my mind

Are on replay

Re-re-play

🕺

I was actually not a fan of Chromatica at all sonically.

As such I didn't really get into the lyrical content but I might give it a re-listen with this mindset as I think that contradiction between light and dark might be where it works for me!

(I did too think this post would be about the Zendaya song and was excited to see what that take would have been .bibliahh)

Also the sample usage >>>

I love this, but this is EXACTLY what Beyonce givex credits for on her albums, that sample should give Diana Ross credit on Replay, does she have it?

Well Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson are credited, but Ms. Ross would not get credited as it's an interpolation
