The song itself is cute.

What bothers me, though, is how obviously manufactured this is. It comes across as a kind of joke, where the boys seem to be either the punchline or unaware participants in a satirical setup. And I hate that because it's mean.

girl, these are literally four friends that randomly decided to become a boy band. They got big off of Tik Tok and have no label. Their beginnings are more organic than some of our faves. Their first gig was at a nursing home, before girls say they are industry plants. Also,

They're definitely not doing this on their own, nor did they come together organically. Someone clearly identified four viral TikTok personalities, and saw an opportunity to package them together.

The coordinated outfits, branding, logo, and content strategy (protesting outside immigration, performing in a nursing home, campaigning for a Grammy, etc.) all point to that - plus the engagement farming with the "help us get Darshan to 1M so he can move to the US" angle and their "lawyer". Even that music video was directed by the same person who worked on Stateside and some of Zara's recent videos. They don't have those contacts.

There is clearly someone behind them making this happen, which is fine... they just seem so sweet. I don't want them to get hurt.
