Do you remember P!nk?

BT was bigger than Lemonade in every country outside the US and WAU is also bigger than any Beyoncé song since. Shakira only had collab hit singles. Her last succesful album was in 2010 and her solo songs after waka waka never stuck. She was also bigger than Beyonce and Shakira with album sales in the mid-late 2000s especially WW, US they were similar with Beyonce. Shakira was a singles artists outside a few euro and Latin America to begin with.

P!nk never had a bigger era in the 2000s than The Truth About Love.
Shakira and Beyonce had their biggest eras in 2000s. Their eras afterwards keep them relevant up till nowadays. P!nk couldn't keep her momentum in 20s.

Try Everything is a solo single let me remind you. None of the collaborators are bigger than Shakira herself since 2010s (apart from Rihanna)

That's not true :skull: Britney has been outstreaming P!nk since like 2021-22, which is crazy considering P!nk released an album in 2023 (and it even got a re-release). I would hope she has more total streams considering she's released three albums since Britney's last, and even then, the gap is just 800M and getting smaller every day.

Daily streams:

Britney — 8.1M

P!nk — 4.4M

That's also inaccurate considering Try This and In the Zone both came out the same year. TRUSTFALL also did worse than Glory in the US. P!nk only outdid her in the 2010s.

That's not True.  I was tracking all the pop girls and Britney didn't start doing better until 2023-4. That's why she's still behind in total dreams. And lol at the glory comparison. Trustfall surpassed it already and was a hit in Europe and Oceania. 9 years vs less than 2 years. Missundazstood was bigger than Self titled, I'm not dead sold double of Backout, funhouse sold double of circus, greatest hits sold 3 times more, TTAL was like 6x more successful than Britney Jean, BT sold 5x more than Glory… and hit wise punk has always been a bigger hit maker. Stop rewriting history lol

Lemonade outsold BT in the U.S, Brazil, Japan, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden and probably a few other countries.

Overall it sold more and did more for Beyoncé's career and legacy than BT did for P!nk's. WAU did well but it was nearly a decade ago.

Beyonce and Shakira have been much bigger and more relevant in the 2020s, which is the point.

She got left behind because appealing to soccer moms doesn't work anymore in the streaming era.

And yet the album sales are the same and Pink sold half in the US. Sold double in Europe, 3x in Oceania, bigger in Canada and also had a WW hit. Let's not act like it was big in Spain or Japan. Asia dropped Beyoncé after 4.

Clearly you didn't do a very good job then, because If you check Spotify's Top Artists Global archives, you'll see that Britney has been ahead of P!nk since 2022 (except for when she released a new album, obviously).

Weekly Top Artists Global:

November 3, 2022:

#118. Britney Spears

N/A P!nk

November 2, 2023:

#131. Britney Spears

#162. P!nk (mind you, she released a brand new album 6 months prior :skull:)

November 7, 2024:

#157. Britney Spears

N/A P!nk

November 6, 2025:

#131. Britney Spears

N/A P!nk

Trustfall didn't surpass Glory in the US :skull:  Make Me was a Platinum certified Top 20 hit. P!nk's singles barely even charted. Glory had a bigger debut and neither made it to 10 weeks on chart. I'm well aware that P!nk did better in the 2010s so idk what's the point of bringing those albums up. Britney was still much bigger in the 2000s overall.

The concept of P!nk being a bigger hitmaker than Britney :bibliahh:Maybe in Australia.

Why onlyUS? Glory is certified in 1 country while trustfall is certified in 8 countries. not only that but glory is 9 years old and now even gold in the US. BT an album released after that is platinum in pure sales alone and has a solo song reaching 1b on Spotify from that album!!! So clearly pink has always done better from 2002-now with their album releases and singles, bar 2003.

Trustfall-1.6m units

Glory-1.1m after 9 years 😭

BT from the year after-5.3 units

always trying to make up numbers and exaggerate her sales 😭

i used to watch her greatest hits dvd all time, before she became the annoying zionist soccer mom she is today :deadbanana4:

You Make Me Sick, Oh My God, Fingers, ohhhhh current day P!nk could NEVER

(but she did ate that Nicki Minaj - High School Tiktok challenge recently, so maybe she still has it in her, idk)

She was sort of the first pop girl I properly stanned dd. Try This – I'm Not Dead – Funhouse is still one of the craziest album runs ever, and the Funhouse Tour remains one of the best tours in pop history to me, but yeah, I do wish her post-2010 output (or post-TTAL if we're being generous) was on par with her older work. At least she'll always be an amazing performer, and hey, every now and then she still gets it right with her newer material: Trustfall the song, for example, is fantastic.

BEGGING for another BlackP!nk era, she did Pop R&B so well :gaycat7:

Enough of the acrobatics, we want bops!

The US is the biggest market in the world and they're both American artists :skull: Why would I care about Liechtenstein and not the US? And guess what the 2nd biggest market is? Hint: Trustfall didn't even chart there. It's funny how P!nk stans swear she's the most global act of all time just because she does well in a handful European countries + Australia, meanwhile she's not even Demi Lovato level in Asia + Latin America. :toofunny3:

Not you completely ignoring the fact that Beautiful Trauma benefited from a tour bundle :dies: Literally 60% of its debut sales came from bundles :skull: But anyway, that was 8 years ago and those days are long gone. Not sure why we're discussing 2017 numbers when @Eternium was talking about Spotify streams, and it's a fact that Britney has been effortlessly outstreaming P!nk for most of the 2020s while twirling at home. She also has a bigger hit than P!nk this decade. This idea that she "outlasted" her peers made sense 10 years ago.

Not me forgetting about this thread the way the world forgot about P!nk.

Well it's not our fault that Britney's globalness lasted 3 years lol. AndTrustfall is certified in impotsnt markets like France, Germany, and Australia. If it were so easy to get certs then come how come glory has ONE cert after 9 years. "Theyre both american artists" okay? And the US is not even 50 percent of album sales ww. The fairest comparison is BT a year after which demolished any Britney album since 2008 globally. Bbbut bundles. Those bundles were exclusive to US/Canada. The album did solid elsewhere and thats why it's near 3m pure sales ww. It's not our fault that the world dropped britney after 2003, while pink was stabilizing and even getting bigger. NEXT!
