Released around the same time, both were hits that were somewhat overshadowed by the success of Shallow. While Rain On Me peaked at #1 and marked Gaga's first sucessful comeback to dance pop after Applause, it also remained part of the COVID era, unable to keep up in streams and getting only small updates on streaming today. Meanwhile, Always Remember Us This Way did not make much noise on the charts, but became a classic on streaming.
 

Two years ago, ROM was at 1B streams and ARUTW at 1.1B. Today, ROM is at 1.2B streams and ARUTW at 1.7B.

ARUTW is the best song of all time and has great recurrents, the answer is obvious 

ARUTW is bogger and bitter  , but ROM is also amazing and the whole release week of ROM where Gaga and Ari were doing cute stuff together to promote it was the highlight of the Chromatica era for sure  

It's ARUTW, but both are great songs

 

if it wasn't for They/Them, ROM ha release weak was (alongside the SB HTS during Joanne) the most exciting pop thingy she's done throughout the past decade or so (especially for someone who started stanning sometime towards the end of AP era) 

Rain On Me is a cute girl and Always Remember Us This Way is gorgeous. Gorgeous is always going to devour cute!

 

But seriously, RoM was a fun moment but, in the end, very forgettable in Gaga's catalogue of bulletproof singles. ARUTW is one of her best songs ever and a timeless masterpiece. It's bigger and better.

ARUTW obviously.. i love ROM tho and it's bigger in the UK at least and maybe another 1 or 2 countries like Russia, UKRAINE etc
