Seeing the whole Ava Max current mess and some fans scared of a possible cancellation of her upcoming album, it took me back to the Be a Fighter days where something similar ended up actually happening... but it wasn't just a random album idea scrapped like any other artist does these days: Be a Fighter actually was put on pre-order, had physical copies printed, a fan contest to appear on the album's booklet and Amelia herself signed the booklets. The cover arts for both standard and deluxe were revealed, as well the tracklist. Everything was ready to go, until the album received multiple pushbacks and the pre-orders were simply cancelled, as if nothing happened  

 

Five years after the cancellation (2017) the album finally leaked and some rare promo copies from the standard version were put on sale for a very high price. The deluxe tracks are yet to leak to this day. The BTS of the album shoot still is up on her YT channel

 

 

However, the album had some major bops, with songs produced by Xenomania (most known for their work with Girls Aloud). You Bring Me Joy peaked at #2 in the UK:

 

 

 

 

 

I decided to bring this up not only bc i love the album but also bc we see quite often some album's concepts, ideas, demos etc getting shelved these days, but to have everything revealed and ready to go like this one had and then... nothing was borderline camp (and sad for her)

I gave "Walk In These Shoes" hundreds of plays. I couldn't get enough of it.

 

The two singles released after "You Bring Me Joy", were completely sub-standard though and symptomatic of not only this album's, but also Xenomania's downfall.

You Bring Me Joy used to be my JAM and honestly, it still is 

 

The rest of the album tracks weren't really on par with the singles tbh, but it still had some bops. Especially Walk In My Shoes, Just Can't Take The Rumours, the title track, and Truth Or Dare. That last track was the only album track that truly fit the sound of the singles, too

 

And not releasing a fully finished album, even if you know it'll flop into oblivion, doesn't make any sense to me 

You Bring Me Joy was a perfect pop song I think she is a reality show star these days?

This was shaping up to be an excellent pop album, she should have released this

Thanks for bringing this up.  I remember when she was releasing singles around 2012-2013, and I remember LOVING them - especially You Bring Me Joy.  I actually had no idea that the whole album leaked.  I thought that only a few demos had leaked.  

Can someone leak the Fingerprints Album as well?

Shut Up killed this album. What a terrible single choice when she had much better songs in the album. Should've gone something like;

 

1st single - You Bring Me Joy

2nd single - Just Can't Take The Rumours
