I'm sorry yall can't get into YKY but it's one of my favorite new songs of hers— I like it more than Joyride. There I said it

Oh wow.gif!

Now that is a take:soda:

Spoiler

Yippee is decent! I'd put it in-between Joyride/Boy Crazy and Delusional, though Delusional has also grown me after I listened to it again recently for the first time in months.

The T-Pain version also finally clicked with me. I used to prefer the solo version, but now I only listen to the T-Pain version (after learning the lyrics to his verses :skull::jamming:.

suddenly i can't read!

I'll take YKY over Delusional any day tho.

But that's like choosing a rotten apple over a rotten banana.

yea i hear you but like... why should an artist shift an entire album rollout because of a leak nobody outside of stans knows about? because her fans want her to? because casual listeners want her to? like it makes zero sense to contradict the entire thesis statement of your art to give in to some needy fans :michael:

I'm not saying she should do that? I'm just saying it's a touch overdramatic to say fans who wish that are "disrespecting her art."

I wish this was released on Junr 4th, instead of July.

& get ate up by Sabrina & Mariah :biblio:

The A.G. Cook remix should've been the official Yippie version, it really elevates it from a generic radio bop to a Ye-EDM bawp

You can make some good banana bread and smoothies with a rotting banana. :clap3:

tbh i more so said that about the album name change (its clear she wants to look back on that album in a more positive light and its not like Eat The Acid is a totally random title anyway, fits with a lot of the themes of the record)

though yeahhhhhh if she released it today . would get quite overshadowed by whatever Sabrina & Mariah Carey are about to release, as @Appletree said :skull:

im personally not really looking to start fights or anything its just that its clear a lot of these choices mean something to the artist beyond a convenient date to release music and a (possibly? im not really sure) more accessible title to a very heavy album which is so refreshing to me

i intentionally havent checked out any singles besides JOYRIDE. (and YIPPIE KI-YAY. because of the 2 remixes) but I am looking forward to this! Eat The Acid is one of my favorite albums of all time and I've always appreciated Kesha but havent listened to her discog pre-Warrior yet.... i definitely should change that!

Spoiler

if you're curious on what I think of the rest:

Warrior: been such a long time since I listened that I probably shouldnt even count but I do remember liking it a lot!

Rainbow: very powerful and gorgeous, the title track makes me shed a tear every time. the bops truly BOP too i mean BOOTS!?!?!?!?!?!?!

High Road: veeeeeeery messy and not really in a way that appeals to me but the best tracks are really great!

finally got around to listening to all the songs released so far and Delusional is my favorite. I'm surprised that so many people don't like it

every song is really good so far. it remains to be seen if this album will dethrone Gag Order as her best album though because that album is a masterpiece (the album is still called Gag Order on my apple music so I'm not sure what to call it?). Eat the acid is my favorite Kesha song ever :gaycat1:

You'll love it!

Animal is skipless. A faultless debut album. Cannibal has a couple of fillers IMO but a strong follow up.

Her pre-Animal unreleased catalogue is enormous. Happy to make some recommendations if you'd like!

Cannibal > Animal, but you're right.

Cannibal would have made a more diverse follow up to Animal as a fleshed-out album but for how short it is, Grow A Pear and Crazy Beautiful Life are a bit of a waste of runtime.

I used to looooove CBL but yeah it's filler (a testament to her output that a reaaallly great pop track is considered filler) but Grow A Pear is a CLASSIC

Grow A Pear is fine but it's parent song First Love is better.

My friends drug dealer was in the car and nonchalantly mentioned how the wake up like p Diddy lyrics didn't age well 💀 ok gworl finish up this transaction and go

By the way, Yippee is still getting pop radio airplay after 2+ months, while Boy Crazy hasn't received any yet :clown:.

Not even the gays at the nude beaches claim Boy Crazy. Poor Yippee haters.
