I feel the same way. Who Said is alright, but certainly not her best single. But this? I don't want to sound too mean, but it feels like she's phoning it in. Is the rest of the album so bad that these 2 songs were the only choices for singles? I don't like jumping to conclusions but I'm struggling to come up with a better explanation for this

So it's now confirmed that this a single from her upcoming album. The producer of the song was active in the public (not private, so I'm not leaking anything/breaking any rules) discord server today. He said that Karen chose to cover this song because its lyrics align with her "introspective mood." He also said it's "a beautiful introduction to a lot of the themes of the album."

it's paired up with Who Said on Spotify, so... yeah.... assumably it's the next single? such a stupid move.

After listening to this several times, I love it. It bothers me so much that literally no one cares though because it's a cover  it's actually good and reminiscent of her debut.

It's her last chance to garner interest in this new project  I know that sounds rude but very few people cared about these last 2 singles. I'm saying this as someone who loves MØ and actually enjoyed Who Said and Wake Me Up.

She needs a collab with someone to put her back in the alt girlies rotation, like get a track with Carly Rae Jepsen or even Zara Larsson would gather attention

Based on her instagram hints, she might have made a song with Elliphant. Maybe. Other than that, The Dare is buzzy right now so it could succeed with the right promo.
