Best serums for hyperpigmentation?

Featured Replies

every time I get a little pimple in my face it leaves some scarring as well as hyper pigmentation.

My skin works really well with serums, but I think my Pigment Gel HQ Free from PCA Skin (which is really good) isn't working for me anymore.

do any of you guys know a good serum for this issue? price point is not a problem.

also I have really fair skin. so the issue is only a thing when pimples come with inflammation.

I think you should try HAUS LABS, I heard everything Gaga promotes works

@Joyride next thread: I tried Lady Ga Ga's Haus Labs... and it is terrible!

Not a serum, it's more of a "paste," but I highly recommend Ordinary's Azelaic Acid suspension. This product lifted ALL of my hyperpigmentation and old acne spots, which I was convinced would never go away. It's a miracle in a tube. That said, it is very drying and irritating, so you will want to keep up with your moisturizer as well.

If you're set on getting a serum, though, I would definitely recommend Azelaic acid as an active ingredient if you can find that.

I second this. The Ordinary has some quality serums that should steer you in the right way

Lit 8 years I used to some vitamin E but I can't remember the name :gaycat6:

Prescription Retinoids. Always.

I'll be asking for this too, what %?

You need to look for things that have either AHA, BHA, retinol/retinoid or vit C :cm: Retinoid works best tbh.

You can try LaRoche Posay's Effeclair serum to attack those little imperfections, the perfect time to use it is when you feel like they're coming and also helps to reduce them once you have them. If you already have the hyper pigmentation you can try MelaB3.

Try any of these actives: azelaic acid, alpha arbutin, vitamin C, tranexamic acid, AHA/BHA. You can get any serum with these ingredients online or over the counter. For really strong stuff, try to get a prescription for tretinoin and hydroquinone.

You dont need anything else. Remember hyperpigmentation takes a long time to fix.

Ive been using COSRX Niacinamide 15% Face Serum for months and it hasnt worked at all so dont get that one!

try the geek & gorgeous azaleic acid serum, it's really good imo

also exfoliate 2-3 times a week. I recommend the paula's choice 2% bha solution or the beauty of joseon green plum toner

this one works decently for me (I have olive/tan skin so it's much harder to get rid of HP). I use it before a light sunscreen when i leave the house, or post showering! I hope it works for you. I hate acne sm
