I wish her team/label/the people around her just trusted her more sometimes. She ALWAYS adds something extra special when she gets more hands on.

Is It Love was A&R'ed by Alex Strehl of Electric Feel. It was a pitch demo originally but Loreen still elevated it in her own way.   Forever was part of writing sessions earlier this yea

  • This is notably better than Warning Signs, which is probably the worst song she's ever released, completely devoid of that artistry we all associate with her name.

how are the daily streams looking like?

not pretty well since it has a bit over 400k streams overall but still curious

It is currently receiving approximately 60k streams per day.

I really don't understand why she never released these alternative versions. Almost every time they outdo the studio ones. Is It Love's tour version, Tattoo extended version, the revisited version of Jupiter Drive. She could do something like Dua Lipan with the Royal Albert Hall live album, when she released completely different versions of her songs.

This is the longest wait everrr BMG sabotaging her lowkey

based on some recent lea*s she has like 3-4 different (at least versions) of her songs, ballad versions, dance versions etc. so I am sure her live performances are based on some other unreleased working version that she had in her pocket.

I will NEVER forgive her for not giving us the ballad version of Love Me America.

i've heard plenty of what she's been recording the last 2 years, and she really is releasing the weakest stuff lately.

She hasn't been with BMG for years now. She's on her second label since then :deadbanana4:

That's it.

I don't necessarily mind the lil sell out era here but considering that she has more "I Hate The Way I Love You"s and "Jupiter Drive"s in her.. I don't get it.

No, she left BMG immediately after Ride.

She joined Universal in 2020 and left them at the start of this year and moved to a smaller label called Promised Land Records :deadbanana4:

nnnnn wait! This is crazy why did I think the head of BMG singed her recently ? Anyone know who A&R'red the album of Is it Love + Forever? Crazy that Ride could of had huge success, the Body/Jungle/Ocean Away project could have just been saved if she was going to have such huge gaps between releases.

its also crazy to think how big of a following she has organically across socials….surely the push was for UK/Europe success in a different way, like she's coming on tour this way in April too, but something's not connecting the way it should have. I wonder if something that was originally planned has been sabotaged behind the scenes bc having Rami Yacoub/Jon Shave session tracks on an album wouldn't even have been put into motion without the support of a BMG backing even if it was just like publishing it PR or something……v strange to me

Is It Love was A&R'ed by Alex Strehl of Electric Feel. It was a pitch demo originally but Loreen still elevated it in her own way.

Forever was part of writing sessions earlier this year in the UK in preparation for Eurovision. I'm not sure when Warning Signs was recorded, it seems like it's an old Ina Wroldsen demo from around September 2023 but I don't know when Loreen recorded it. Gravity was part of writing sessions in LA earlier this year.

As far as I'm aware, BMG haven't been involved for years.

She has done loads of sessions over the last 2 years alone. She spent a few months last year in the UK, some in Stockholm and there's the entire Olafur Arnalds collab project still to come. This year it seems like she was in LA a lot earlier on and in the UK whilst the middle of the festival tour.

She also has a massive back catalogue of scrapped projects from the Swedish album, the Neon Lights era, the 2019 Atlas project and projects further back than that but I fear they are lost forever.

She has so much music but I've lost track and I'm not sure what she'd be able to release given the label switch. The fact all releases this year were recorded this year (I believe) make me think that she isn't allowed to release last year's sessions :cries:

I'm fully expecting that the album next year will only include Forever onwards. It was extremely quiet at the start of the year and I think the label switch was the reason why. I think the planned album had to be scrapped and they started again but idk, I'm just guessing

ohhh this seems like she can't tackle Tattoo to the upcoming album then. Is It Love & Tattoo are both released under Universal Music and Forever onwards Promised Land Recordings Limited as said above:toofunny2:  I hope they could work it out and she could put at least Tattoo to the upcoming album, it is such a pivotal moment in her career and would be such a waste to leave it just as a single.

wish she had released a bigger project last year. She was in such a good soundscape last year, the tour remixes were the best she's ever done. She was on fire. If not an album then just an EP with Tattoo, Is It Love and 4 more songs :cries:

I don't want Tattoo on the next album to be honest. I don't want it taking up tracklisting space when she's very stingy with music releases and it might be another 5+ year wait for the next album :deadbanana4:

Yea even the EP would've been nice to have under UMG

I wouldn't mind IF it was an additional track along others without taking space of any new songs. just like Kim Petras threw Unholy on one of her debut albums:dies:

I totally agree with you about not having Tattoo on the album. I used to think that it would be for the best since it would give more streams to the album but when I think about it...it doesn't sit right with me. More enjoyable has grown out of this era, she has changed her style and it seems like she wants to explore something different. Tattoo doesn't fit in her current era and I wouldn't complain if it wasn't included in the album.
