Hopefully Dua Lipa can snag a few noms (highly doubt more than 2)

 

If Chappell Roan's album indeed is ineligible I would swap her out for Radical Optimism in Best Pop Vocal Album.

 

"Illusion" will undoubtedly make it into Best Dance Pop Recording. 

Let's see if "Houdini" pulls a dark horse nod in ROTY or Best Pop Solo Performance (and if we're pushing it, Best Music Video)

My only predictions are that Not Like Us will win whatever category it's nominated in, while HMHAS will shockingly get snubbed

I can see a male artist or a band winning AOTY and all of stan twitter being gagged.

 

I know it's been a big year for the pop girlies, but it's like stan culture completely forgets that male artists/bands exist, and that Grammys voters actually listen to them.

 

I would love to see Brat or Midwest Princess win. I think that would be shocking and exciting, whilst still being deserved.

 

I don't think Cowboy Carter deserves to win. If it does, it's because Beyoncé winning is so overdue, and the conversations around her having never won AOTY have reached record heights. She should have won for self-titled. No skips, visual album, invented surprise releases, single-handedly changed release dates to Fridays.

 

I predict Dua being snubbed entirely. It could be a good wake-up call for her, and would remind her that longevity isn't guaranteed. You have to deliver.

 

Pop vocal will be the messiest category imo, because there's so many valid options, and sometimes it feels like they award it to a big/popular album that wasn't worthy of AOTY.

 

I love Taylor to death but TTPD truly doesn't deserve anything. It's far from the best record of her career. I'm sure it'll get nominations and maybe even a win though. But if it wins AOTY, there will be the biggest eyeroll from everyone who's not a Swiftie. I actually think an AOTY win would be terrible for her brand. Even Midnights winning was pushing it, and I love that album.

* Beyonce would probably sweep country categories, I also see SZA winning a R&B category for Saturn. Hope Doja win something for Agora Hills too….

i mean last year 7/8 of AOTY nominees were ladies. it isn't really farfetched to think women will be running the scammys again next year
