I had... low expectations or I just didn't know what she would be able to do but this is solid af. 1:59 and Candy Paint are surprisingly the weaker tracks for me as standalones and singles, but sound better in the album

 

GRIP, Lights On, Insomnia, Tantrums, Big Boy, All Yours, Little Secrets are Whole LP reminds me of Janet, old Ciara, and 2013 R&B (JT, Kelly Rowland, Robin, etc.)

Hate to complain, but now that I am listening on streaming services the mixing on this project leaves a lot to be desired. "Still" is a BOP and it just needs more umph in the mix. I guess I have no choice but to get over it.

Is there any promo for this? A music video or a performance?

She would've been best surprise dropping this alongside the visuals and with a pre-order for physical copies. And then pushing Insomnia as the single. I think that would've been the best way to get people to pay attention to this release. 
 

I could see Little Secrets and Big Boy working as singles too. 

People are paying attention to the album through good word of mouth which is the best.

Solid album! I like it. Congrats Normani, i've been streaming since yesterday. And oh, "Take My Time" is amazing.

The album is … excellent.

Production is top notch. Vocals are perfect for the beats. Sultry, cohesive, there's a storyline … Mani delivered. I truly hope she gets rewarded for this because it has, indeed, been worth the wait.

The first part is so TRUE! Chloe could have delivered a MAGNUM OPUS as a 1st album yet changed direction with whatever she delivered I was rooting for her smh.

CDS don't take that long to produce, what is her team waiting for? 

if we're talking about a dream rollout imo it would've been:

1. wild side
2. take my time early 2022 with great visuals
3. 1:59 apr-may 2022 (no need for a video)
4. album june 2022 with candy paint being released with a full budget video and remix prepared with a female rapper (doja ideally)
