Glad she went the R&B route! Overall, the album is okay - kinda expected more but I might be biased because I already played the sh out of the 3 released tracks. Wish she leaned more into the electric guitar riffs and overall more interesting topics.

 

Insomnia, Tantrums, and Lights will end up in heavy rotation for years

so glad fair isn't included in the album

I have mixed feelings on this. Happy she put out, but this tries to be a Dawn Richard album for a good chunk of the time, especially her work with Clams Casino way back in 2017 (song under)  but Normani lacks the interesting production choices and detailed layering that comes with not caring to appeal to R&B masses. They share a very similar tone. IDK left the album feeling she still had something to prove. Don't think I'll be returning often, but I saved four songs from it for my dance playlist
