Ciara - 'CiCi'
The abrupt cutoff We can't have ANYTHING Love the song, though

Ciara - 'CiCi'
It's kind of both funny and sad that if fans hadn't came for her, we probably wouldn't have gotten Infinite Imagination, LMOL, and Low -- her strongest tracks in years (besides Ecstasy) Bullying works, I guess

Ciara - 'CiCi'
A turkish streaming service has two separate editions listed - one with and without Nice N Sweet. Not sure where others have heard it since I can't find it anywhere else on streaming.

Ciara - 'CiCi'
I shared the link because of the publicly available 30 second snippets Of course people subscribed to this Turkish streaming service have access to the full songs, I don't see it on any other streaming services via VPN for now

Kylie™ Minogue's digital catalogue gets huge update!
What's taking them so long with Fever? Do they update the albums on anniversaries or at random? I need Rendezvous at Sunset Hope they expand it next, since 4/8 are already available: ✓ Tightrope (Available on In Your Eyes single) ✓ Good Like That (Available on In Your Eyes single) ✓ Baby (Available as standalone single) ✓ Whenever You Feel Like It (Available on Fever) Boy Harmony Never Spoken Rendezvous at Sunset

ADÉLA - "SexOnTheBeat"
The breakdown at the end

Teyana Taylor - 'Escape Room'
I don't mind the interludes when listening to the album all the way through, but they're a bit too long for what they are. They're entertaining from a story perspective, but they don't have much replay value. I ended up making a new playlist without them after two listens. So far, I'm really enjoying the album Standouts for now: Back to Life, Open Invite, Hard Part

Ciara - 'CiCi'
I really tried to approach this with an open mind, but it just feels underwhelming. For me, "Ecstasy" and "How We Roll" are the only good tracks. "BRB" had potential but doesn't really go anywhere, and none of the new songs land for me. Hopefully the deluxe edition gives us at least one more solid track, can't believe it took fans bullying her to make it happen. It's a shame because the physical packaging looks incredible, such striking visuals feel wasted on an album this weak.

Ciara - 'CiCi'
Maybe this Jazze Pha/Latto track has a Whats Your Fantasy (Ludacris x Bangladesh) sample 🤔

Ciara - "Ecstasy"
You said "there has to be more to the story" and I'm saying what if there isn't? What if she's satisfied with this and her previous releases? Maybe it's time we accept that. She seems to love the EP enough to expand it into a full album. I don't get the sense that anyone's pressuring her to do it. Not sure why any mention of Tinashe irks you. I only brought her up as an example of someone who's thriving in her own lane and isn't chasing mainstream pop success anymore. Dismissing her critical acclaim and consistency doesn't help this discussion or Ciara. There's no need for this to turn confrontational, we're in the same boat and writing essays cuz we're frustrated.

Sugababes - "Weeds"
On first listen I thought it could've been a Jungle b-side but whew, it grew on me. Excited for the album!

Ciara - "Ecstasy"
What really gets me is that it feels like we're just making excuses for the fact that Ciara lacks vision and direction. Tinashe (and a bunch of other independent acts) took control after leaving her label and has been delivering. So what's Ciara's excuse now? For years, people blamed the label, but that doesn't hold up anymore. As @KING ACE said, no one's expecting FKA Twigs-level lyricism, but at least make the music sonically interesting. The Evolution (e.g. Love You Better, Get In, Fit In, I Proceed) + Fantasy Ride sessions showed she could be experimental while still being in the R&B/Pop lane. "Ecstasy" is her best effort in years, but it still falls short. Especially when the album just expands on the CiCi EP (which, outside of "HWR," was a**). I'd take "Fantasy" with Keys N Krates over any of her recent singles. I'll always root for her, but there hasn't been much to get excited about.

Ciara - "Ecstasy"
Seems like a grower! Vocals and production is good, overall her best effort in a while. Hoping the video is choreo heavy. The lyrics are a bit embarrassing, especially towards the end (that banana nonsense in the second verse + the bridge)

Vinyl sales increase by 6.2% in 2024
If you only buy CDs of albums you really like (but don't use streaming), how do you decide what to buy?

Vinyl sales increase by 6.2% in 2024
Over the past couple of years, I bought quite a few vinyl records, but this year, Tinashe's 'BB/ANG3L' was the only one I picked up. With rising costs (especially with shipping and import fees), spending over 50€ per record is hard to justify. I've had to be more selective, and I'd rather support artists where my contribution truly counts. I came close to buying KATSEYE's EP just because of how detailed and stunning the design is!

BANKS - GODDESS: UNPLUGGED (10 year anniversary)
Ok, cool, but where's the vinyl?

Producer Kaytranada says that Beyoncé tried to rip him off for 'Cuff It' Remix rights
It seems like a bunch of you lack reading comprehension skills. The article says: Producers/DJs often remix songs without being commissioned first and submit them directly, it's not that rare. Just like any song, a remix has royalties/credits, so of course he'd want to be compensated fairly for something that's going to make someone money. Not y'all thinking he's money hungry when he often does remixes for virtually unknown artists

KATSEYE - 'SIS (Soft is Strong)'
I also thought of the VMAs instinctively, but they are on the 12th - two days before this show date. The Olivia thing would be cool, though. Edit: Just saw @50thStateofMind's post, welp.

Muni Long - 'Revenge'
It sounds too much like a 2008 R&B album, it's too derivative I do like Things I Never Said and Waste No Time, though
-
Halle - "Because I Love You"
Love both the song and video! Come thru Ms. Ariel
-
Miach - "Iluzija"
Imma sit this one out and wait for her Pop-R&B leaning smashes Is this the lead for a new album/project? Insomnia Deluxe incoming?
