It's not about numbers it's about Katy dropping a quality critically acclaimed album 16 years in her career. we just need a strong body of work.

 

You guys have to leave the numbers game alone she is not in her prime. 
 

It's about the music. 

Absolutely no one cares about her numbers except her second fanbase I think.

 

People who enjoy Katy just want her to do something that feels a little more authentic and not cringe. Release some good music, that's it.

I think a 40M Global debut will be cute for her 

I don't think it will do well. She should just retire, she's not capable of making great music and compared to her peers she's the least talented one.

By the looks and aesthetics she's been giving i could tell what type of sound it will be and i'm kinda here for it. I think it will certainly do better than smile, kind of witness success, but my hopes for Emancipation of MiMi type of comeback are on the lowest low

if she gets a 20m global debut honestly I'd consider that a win in her case.

Sis Smile debuted with 7.8M. I think 8-10M would be expected and 15M is a big win.

An organic top 10 single would do it for me.

A #1 single would be a "OHHH SHES BACKK" moment and we would all stan lets be honest

babe pls... 100k... even 70k would be great for her.

In a world (Oblivia) where she truly does have a comeback, I would love a 10th #1 with longevity in the top 10 that also translates to some album success

 

Realistically if she truly is done commercially I'd be happy with an album that finally makes the critics take her seriously and give her the respect she deserves

A quality top 10 hit that has some longevity + an album that charts longer than 4 months and has a few great songs on it will do.
